Buy once, you'll save money in the long run. Then I fell in love with the handling and the results. These are the reasons I eventually chose Hasselblad. It is more likely to maintain some value in the years. I think this is important because it levels the playing field, so to speak, when making equipment comparisons.Ĭonsider also that Hasselblad is much more widespread than Bronica, is still in production, and that it can take a digital back. There may be others, but I noticed that TommyOshima has images from both cameras in his photostream. Truly, you can't go wrong either way as both cameras are capable taking fantastic images. Both searches turned up amazing images by fellow Flickrites. I just did a search on the most interesting "hasselblad" (most are taken with planar lenses) photos and the most interesting "zenzanon" (I wanted to be lens specific) photos. Here you can buy the biggest number of different good (not outstanding, but really good!) lenses for the same money. If not Hasselblad, then the P6 system (e.g., ARAX). It's not about resolution etc, but the way it draws. You CAN tell a Planar image with the bare eye. Hasselblad with the Planar (probably the only lens you can afford). The Bronica system is a bit middle-of-the-road in terms of price/performance ratio and thus not my choice. Ok, this is all very subjective, but here's what I think.
Rafael Le Masson edited this topic ages ago. *some people say Mamiya 7 Sekor lens is the best. But in reality a barely eye will not see differences in prints from differents lens. Probably Planar is the unbeatable* by any MF lens. I guess if you shoot the same scene twice with tripod with a Planar and the Nikkor and then scan the film with a drum scanner you will see differences, in high magnification, favorable to the Planar. The build quality of the Hasselblad system is superior. If you have a real filmscanner( Nikon 9000 e.g) you probably see the difference in quality. If you use a flatbed scanner don't bother and buy a Bronica. Originally posted at 7:24AM, 10 November 2007 PDT Ps:Is it possible to mount non zenzanon lenses into bronica bodies? lke pentax 67 or even the rollei sl66 using adaptors? but does it makes a VERY BIG difference? I could spend 850€ in the hassie, but my chances to get more lenses are small, all of them are too pricey for me. I know that the planar is unbeatable by any zenzanon lens. I know a guy who sells a 503cw + a24 back + zeiss planar T* 80mm CF + waist level finder, for 850€. You can get a basic outfit for about 300-400$ or even cheaper if you got luck. I mean, I am looking for a MF SLR, in good shape, so I am looking for an SQ-Ai or an SQ-B which are the last models made by bronica. What should I go for? hasselblad or bronica? Ok I know this some kind o repeated question, but I think that we all like to blurb about cameras, so.
